This Advent season, we are invited to look closely at the nature of Jesus, the King who came to dwell among us. As we journey through this season, we will explore what it means to truly see Him as our life-giver, our chain breaker, and our constant companion. He is not a distant ruler but a King whose heart is for His people—one who comes near, meets us where we are, and lifts up the down trodden.
It’s not uncommon for people to find it strange that educated, well-adjusted individuals take the Bible seriously. It challenges some of the behaviors celebrated today and makes bold claims about a Savior who has authority over all of life. Plus, it’s an ancient book, which makes it easy for some to dismiss. But here’s the thing: the resurrection of Jesus changes everything. It gives this old book a credibility that’s hard to ignore.
Our vision for 2025 is to boldly embrace our calling as a 'sent' church—a people ignited by the Great Commission to live every single day on mission for Jesus. We are not called to be passive spectators but active participants in God’s redemptive work, carrying the life-changing message of the gospel to every corner of our world. This is not a task reserved for special occasions or a select few; it is the heartbeat of every follower of Christ.
