"Fighting with Faith" is an in-depth study through the book of Philippians. From beginning to end, the book of Philippians speaks to the blessings believers receive from their union with Christ. Paul encourages believers to live lives worthy of the gospel by examining themes of joy, endurance, fellowship, and contentment. This study will fix your eyes on the grace and glory of Christ, and will teach you what it truly means to fight with faith. This study starts on Thursday, September 4th, 9 am at Hope Coffee. Do you desire to take the next step in your walk with the Lord? If you are in a place where you want to grow and deepen your relationship with God and others, join the 2:7 Group for a 11-week discipleship class launching on Wednesday, September 10th, at 7 pm in the Fireside Room led by Chris Ballesteros. We will be going through a study that helps us lay a firm foundation for our faith. We will discuss topics such as: How to read your Bible and what to mark. We are excited to host Hope Wellness & Fitness at The Hope. Exercise, Nutrition, Mindfulness, and Self-care are essential for our Temple (Body) in walking like Jesus. Mila Hoban-Munden leads our Wellness classes which take place every week from Monday through Thursday from 5 pm - 6 pm in the Hope Kids Room. Please bring a friend, your water bottle and towel. The Hope is excited to be part of, Night of Hope, a community wide worship night on Saturday, September 13th, at 6 pm at the Art Kamangar Theater (301 W. Main St., Merced). This special evening was birthed from the hearts of local worship leaders who long to see unity in our surrounding communities. Together, under the banner of Jesus’ name, we will lift our voices in worship with purity and joy. Pastors from across the Merced and Atwater area will be present to welcome everyone, share encouragement, and lead us in prayer. We are currently seeking greeters to warmly welcome attendees and prayer warriors to come alongside those in need of prayer during the evening. This year’s Feast of Tabernacles will be held on Friday, October 10th, at 6:30 p.m. hosted by the Tucker family. This feast is a fall feast that commemorates the sheltering of the Hebrew people in the wilderness after their deliverance from Egypt. This feast also points to Jesus and celebrates a future time when God will again tabernacle with us on earth. This event is for the whole family and will be a wonderful time of fellowship, dinner, worship and celebration. Please RSVP here.
